November’s Circle

Amber opened the Circle with a guided meditation to center and ground us, and then Suzanne presented on the topic of Grief.

Our society in the U.S. generally treats grief as a problem to be solved, or as a nuisance to “get over”, but in reality, Grief is a result of Love and should be honored rather than “fixed”.
Grief is the other side of Love.

We had a lot of good discussion, and many valid points were brought up. There were two books Suzanne referenced a number of times: “It’s Okay That You’re Not Okay” by Megan Devine, and “The Light Between Us” by Laura Lynn Jackson.
It was also pointed out that everyone grieves in their own ways and on their own schedule, and that it’s important for all of us to honor that.
Grief is not an easy thing to endure, but always try to honor it.
All of our feelings are valid. Always.

Next month’s Circle, we’ll talk about Fear and Self Defense. Amber and Gemini will be presenting. And for January’s Circle, we’ll be making Dream Visioning Boards! We hope to see you at both Circles!
